Obituary for Alice Ireland Finnucan

Alice Ireland Finnucan, 83, of Ansonia died Tuesday August 14, 2007 at home. She was the widow of James J. Sinnucan Sr. Born in Derby on December 10, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Katherine O'Keefe Ireland. She was a graduate of Derby High School and a communicant of the Church of the Assumption. She is survived by a daughter Beverly and her husband Joseph McLaughlin of West Haven, a son, James J. and his wife Eileen Finnucan of Ansonia; and four grandchildren, Maureen McLaughlin Martin of Wallingford, Joseph McLaughlin of Boston, Kelly Finnucan of Dedham, MA and James Finnucan of Ansonia. She was predeceased by four sisters, Martha Shea, Katherine Hofer, Grace Fitzpatrick and Mable Bryce and one brother Frederick Ireland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday at the Church of the Assumption. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Ansonia. The Bennett Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
