Obituary for Paul Marinelli Sr.

Paul Marinelli, Sr. age 70 of Derby, beloved husband of 46 years to the late Patriia Iinney Marinelli, died May 1, 2007 in Griffin Hospital.  Born in Italy on October 28, 1936, he was the son of the late Nicola and Antoinette Rufini Marinelli.  He was a resident of Derby for many years and worked as a machinist for the American Brass Co. for 20 years, then for the E.H.Kneen Co. for 20 years until retiring in 2003.  During his retirement he enjoyed his employment at Shoprite, Derby.  He is survived by his devoted children, Paul Marinelli, Jr. and his wife Marylou and Dorothy Marinelli and her wife Nissa Aponte, all of Derby; sisters Paula David of FL, Lucy Nocella of Ansonia, Adrianne Carlson of Seymour, brothers Enzo Marinelli of Italy, Dario and Arnold Marinelli, both of Ansonia; cherished grandchildren Jenna and Paul Joseph (PJ) Marinelli, both of Derby.  In addition to his wife, Mr. Marinelli is predeceased by brothers, Elmo and Domenic Marinelli.  Funeral services will take place from the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Ave., Ansonia, Friday May 4, 2007 at 9:30 a.m.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Mary Church, 212 Elizabeth St. Derby at 10:30l a.m.  Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Ansonia.  There are no calling hours.
