Obituary for Marie Louise Welch Ireland
Marie Louise Ireland, 65, of Ansonia, died Friday July 19, 1991 at Griffin Hospital in Derby after a long illness. She was the wife of William Ireland. Born in Derby, March 18, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Maurice and Pauline Parrott Welch. She was a lifelong resident of Ansonia. She was a purchasing agent at the former H.C. Cook Co. for 25 years before her retirement in 1983. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, the Hisorical Society, The Griffin Hospital Volunteers and the First Baptist Church Harmony Club. Besides her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Beverlee Schroeder of Ansonia, a son David Ireland of Ansonia, a brother Paul E. Welch of Ansonia, a granddaughter and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, Howard and Burton A. Welch. The Jenkins-King Funeral Home of Ansonia is in charge of the arrangements. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery Ansonia.
