Obituary for Theodore Slade

Theodore Slade (Sledzianowski) age 94, beloved husband of the late Marion Chirgwin Slade of Seymour, died peaefuly on Novemer 6, 2007 at Griffin Hospital of Derby.  He was born December 26, 1912 in Ansonia, son of the late Stephen and Antoinette Fitol Sledzianowski.  A World War II Army veteran of the Pacific Theatre, Theodore worked as a foreman in the shipping dept of Farrel's Corp for 30 years and was a member of the Farrel Old Timers Club.  He was a member of the VFW Gordon Visselli Post of Ansonia 597 and was a parishioner of the Church of the Good Shepherd of Seymour.  In addition to his wife Marion, he was predeceased by sons Theodore Slade Jr. and Daniel Slade, three brothers, Peter, Thomas and Edmund Slade and his sister Jean Androski.  He is survived by several nieces and nephews.  Funeral services will be held on Saturday, with friens alling from 9 am. to 10:30 a.m. from the Jenkins-King Funeral Home, 12 Franklin Street, Ansonia.  The funeral will then leave for a Mass of Christian Burial, Celebrated at 11 a.m. from the Church of the Good Shepherd, 135 Mountain Rd. Seymour.  Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Ansonia. In lieu of flowers, donations in Theodore's memory may be made to his church.
