Obituary for Kenneth Dimon

Kenneth I. Dimon, 90, passed away peacefully Thursday March 13, 2008 at Griffin Hospital Derby. Born September 13, 1917 to Frederick and Leah Beckwith Dimon, he grew up on a dairy farm in the White Hills sectin of Shelton. A truck drive most of his life, he retired in 1988 from Country Home Bakers. Also worked part-time selling Knapp Shoes for many years and was an honorary charter member of the White Hills Voluntary Fire Company. A devoted husband and father, he was predeeased by his loving wife of 54 years Gladys Tyler Dimon; two daughters, Shelley Diemer and Tracy O'Connor; a sister, Doris Blakeman and three brothers, Earl, Bernard and Alfred Dimon. He survived by his eldest daughter Pam Bilotto and her husband Anthony; a brother Wiley Dimon; two sisters, Shirley Cornut and Hazel Curtis; and six grandchildren, Damien, Darren and Vanessa Bilotto, Erik Diemer and Evan and Mason O'Connor. Ken als9o leaves behind his best little canine friend Muffin. He enjoyed many camping trips with family and friends and loved to listen to country music. This gentle giant of a man will be greatly missed by those left behind especially by his daughter. "To know you're there, a breath away is not far to where you are." Arrangements are handled by Jenkins-King Funeral Home Ansonia. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place Tuesday March 25, 2008 at Christ Episcopal Church Ansonia. Interment will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery Ansonia.
