Casimira Carroll Casimira “Ginny” Carroll, 84, passed away peacefully at the Reading Hospital on Saturday, February 6th while surrounded by her loving family. Born September 4, 1936 in Reading, PA she was a daughter of the late James D. and Casimira M. (Franckowiak) Carroll. She is survived by her sister Cecelia J. Wadsworth, nephew Roger H. Wadsworth, Jr., niece Jodi L. Koehler (Wadsworth), nephew Brett J. Wadsworth and niece Kelly L. Koehler (Wadsworth). She also has 6 Great Nieces and Nephews along with 9 Great-Great Nieces and Nephews. Ginny was someone who loved life no matter what came her way. She was the most gentle, loving, kindhearted woman who genuinely cared for everyone. As a woman of God, she prayed for her family and others every night and lived by always wanting to do the right thing. She valued being with her family, having fun laughing at family parties and telling funny stories all while making everyone who were in her presence smile and laugh. It always brought such happiness to her. As an avid sports fan of Boxing, she was highly fond of boxers Lennox Lewis and Sugar Ray Leonard. Her knowledge of Boxing was simply amazing, and she could tell you anything you ever wanted to know. She also loved Football and her favorite team was the Baltimore Ravens. She consistently commended Joe Flacco and always thought he was a great quarterback for the team. Her true passion in life was listening to music on her wide collection of transistor radios, all 19 of them. Her all time favorite band was the Rolling Stones, and she especially loved the lead singer Mick Jagger. She also loved to listen to the Beatles, Buddy Holly, Bobby Vinton, Patsy Cline, Bobby Darin, and the Beach Boys. Her top favorite radio station was WXPN and she really enjoyed listening to Helen Leicht. Her dream job was to be a radio DJ and often times she called in to WXPN to talk to the radio DJ’s to request songs and ask them questions etc., she thought it was so neat when she was able to get through.
