Obituary for Mr. Stanley H. Dengler

Stanley H. Dengler, 74, of Lenhartsville, formerly of Maxatawny Township, passed away on Friday, February 5, 2021 in Penn State Health - St. Joseph Medical Center, Bern Township. He was the widower of Sharon K. (Eschbach) Dengler, who died December 6, 2014. They were married September 24, 1966.

Born in Maxatawny Township, Stanley was a son of the late Meno and Mildred (George) Dengler. He was employed by East Penn Manufacturing Co., Inc., Lyons, for over 30 years, working on the finish line. In his younger years, he worked at Caloric Corporation, Topton, Max’s Thriftway and Ryly’s Service Station both of Kutztown. Stanley was a member of Kutztown Fire Company and Pike Township Sportsmen’s Association. He was a very hard worker and enjoyed watching NASCAR on television.

He is survived by his daughter, Michelle L. (Dengler), wife of Allen R. Button, Lenhartsville; son, Michael L. Dengler, companion of Marcella A. Ettinger, Kutztown; three grandchildren, Laura M. (Button) Homacki, Kodiak, AK, Alyssa M. Button, fiancé of Casey Incandella, Fleetwood, and Nicholas M. Dengler, Kutztown; two sisters, Joyce Lawrence, Kutztown, Shirley Swavely, Krumsville; and a brother, Lee Dengler, Kunkletown. 

In addition to his wife and parents, Stanley was predeceased by a brother, Ralph Dengler.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, February 13, 2021 from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. in Ludwick Funeral Homes, Inc., 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown, PA. A funeral service to celebrate and honor Stanley’s life with Vicar Jeremiah T. Heydt officiating will begin at 2:00 p.m.

Burial will follow the services in Hope Cemetery, Kutztown.
