Obituary for Gloria Andrukevich Carey
Gloria A. Carey, 78, of Naugatuck, formerly of Ansonia, died on Sunday May 11, 2008 at the Beacon Brook Health Care Center. She was the widow of Vincent Carey. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y. on July 16, 1929 to Louise Quoka Andrukevich of Derby and the late Alexander Andrukevich, Mrs. Carey was employed at the H.C. Cook Co. of Ansonia as a machine operator. Survivors besides her mother, are a daughter, Karen Pojakene of Ansonia, two sons, Steven Carey of Seffern, Fla. and Alex Carey of Naugatuck; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. Her funeral service will be held on Thursday at the Bennett Funeral Home, Ansonia followed by her burial in Pine Grove Cemetery
