Obituary for Jean Mazolewski Pregman

Jean Mazolewski Pregman, 86, of Seymour, the beloved wife of the late Harry Pregman, entered into eternal rest Monday November 24, 2008 at the Harborside Willows in Woodbridge. She was born in Dickson City, PA, April 19, 1922, daughter of the late Floyd and Viola Grudkowski Mazolewski and had resided in Seymour for the past 60 years, until recently moving to Woodbridge. Jean was employed for a short time as a seamstress in the Valley. She enjoyed crocheting and knitting and spent many hours at Scrabble, jigsaw, and cressword puzzles. She was a fan of the UCONN Woman's Basketball team. Jean is survived by her two sons, Thomas Pregman and his wife Arlene of Hamden and Paul Pregman and his wife Donna of Bessemer City, N.C.; and a sister, Eleanor Sovitch of Old Forge, PA. The joys of her life were her cherished grandchildren, Jeffrey Pregman and his wife, Shannon Donnelly of Oakton, VA, Douglas Pregman and his wife Allison of Stratford and Melissa Okpokwasili and her husband Kem stationed in Germany; and her cherished five great-grandchildren. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. A private funeral service will be held Saturday November 29, 2008 in the Chapel of the Miller-Ward Funeral Home, Seymour. Interment will be in the family plot at Pine Grove Cemetery, Ansonia.
