Obituary for William B. Nimons

William A. Nimons,82, husband of Alice Ann Petryshyn Nimons and lontime Ansonia resident, died Friday November 21, 2008 at Hilltop Health Center, Ansonia. He was born May 11, 1926 in Oxford, son of the late Albert and Clara Neilson Nimons. William was a Veteran of the Navy during World War II and retired from North East Utilities. He was a member of the I.B.E.W.#420 Electrical Workers Union of Waterbury and was a member of the American Legion Post #174 of Oxford. In addition to his wife, he is wurvived by is five sons, John W. Nimons and his wife Jenny of Beacon Falls, Scott E. Nimons and wife Susan of Seymour, David Nimons of Alaska, Richard Nimons of Danbury and William Nimons and a daughter Janet Piccirillo, both of Ansonia. William also leaves two brothers, Albert Nimons of Seymour and Harold Nimons of Ansonia and two sisters, Viola Handy of Branford and Eleanor Hebert of Williamsburg, MA; as well as several grandchildren; and great-grandchildren. William was predeceased by his two sons, Earl P. and Warren Nimons; as well as four brothers Earl and Reynold Nimons and Edward and Jeffrey Geoffrion and two sisters, Helen Lucido and Lillian Stickler. Funeral services will be held Tuesday from Jenkins-King Funeral Home, Ansonia. Burial with military honors will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Ansonia.
