Obituary for Alton A. Urban

Alton Anthony Urban, age 88 of Walnut Street, Seymour, beloved husband of the late Margaret Grace Lounsbury Urban, entered into eteral rest on Saturday March 3, 2007 at Connecticut Hospice, Branford.  He was born in Seymour on December 23, 1918, the son of the late Max and Anna Boroszewich Urban.  He was the retired owner of A. Urban Plumbing and Heating of Seymour.  Alton was a communicant of Trinity Episcopal Church of Seymur and was a member of the DAV and VFW of Seymour and also a US. Army veteran of World War II holding the rank of sergeant, serving in Asiatic Theatre.  Alton was a collector of World War II memorabilia who loved to watch and read World War II historial movies and books and he also enjoyed mining rose quartz.  His loving family includes his beloved sister Anita Stelmack and her husband Michael of Seymour, his beloved nephew William Urban of Ansonia and his cherished niece Lorrainne Vincent of Ansonia, his beloved brother-in-law Richaed Lounsbry and his wife Pauline of Seymour, several loving nieces and nephews, his dearest friends Edward and Valerie Pollack of Seymour and his special friends George Jarvis and David Johnson.  He was predeeased by his two brothers Peter and Paul Urban and his sister Vera Vincent.  A funeral service in celebration of Alton's life will be held on Wednesday, March 7, 2007 at 10 a.m. in the Chapel of the Miller-Ward Fineral Home, 260 Bank Street, Seymour with a Requiem Eucharist to be celebrated at 11 a.m. at the Trinity Episcopal Church, Seymour with the Rev. Richard G.M. Chambers officiating.  Interment with full Military Honors accorded will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery, Ansonia.  Friends and relative may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m.  Espressions of sympathy in Alton' memory may be made to the Trinity Episcopal Church Memorial Fund, 91 Church Street, Seymour, CT 06483.
