Obituary for Eloise June Buswell Davies
Eloise June Davies, 90, wife of the late Kenneth Davies and lifelong Ansonia resident, died Wednesday June 18, 2008 at Griffin Hospital. She was born June 6, 1918 in Ansonia, daughter of the late Edmund and Louise Palmer Buswell. A graduate of Ansonia High School, Class of 1936, June was a member of the Christ Episcopal Church of Ansonai and member of the church's Episcopal Church Women. She worked for 27 years as branch manager and assistant treasurer for the former Derby Savings Bank and later was a member of the Derby Senior Center. She leaves three sons, Kenneth E. Davies Jr. and his wife Eileen of Oxford, Robert E. Davies of Ansonia and Arthur J. Davies of West Haven. June is also survived by seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and two nieces. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her sister, Grace Buswell Newman. Funeral services will be held Saturday from the Jenkins-King Funeral Home Ansonia. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery Ansonia.
