Obituary for Rose Constantino Guliuzza

Rose Constantino Guliuzza, 89, beloved wife of 45 years to the late Joseph T. Guliuzza of Seymour, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 12, 2007 at the Hilltop Health Center Ansonia. Mrs. Guliuzza was born in Waterbury on January 7, 1918 daughter of the late Leonard and Theresa Lago Constantino. She was a former employee of Uniroyal in Naugatuck for over 40 years and spent most of her retirement helping out at the Pilgrim Bar-B-Que in Ansonia. She was known as "Gram Rose" who had a smile for eveeryone and never wanted to take a day off from work. The LaRosina catering room at Pilgrim was name after Rose for her enduring love. Rose always wanted to make sure everyone was fed and happy and was known for her home made macaroni and outstanding sauce. Her door was always open to everyone and she delighted in hosting family gatherings. She was a parishioner of Holy Rosary Church in Ansonia and was a member of the St. Ann's Society and Rosary Guild at the church. Rose was an extremely proud mother to her devoted sons, Joseph L. "Chicken Joe" Guliuzza and his fiancee Janet Curran of Milford, and Charles R. Guliuzza and his wife Linda of Seymour, grandmother of Deffie Jones and her husband Robert, Ricky Guliuzza and his wife Billianne, Jeffrey, David and Renee Guliuzza; great grandmother of Taylor Jones, Haley Guliuzza, Jordan Jones and Savannah Guliuzza, sister of Josephine Miller of Waterbury and Carmella Verrone of Middlebury, sister-in-law of Emily Elia and Sam Guliuzza and anunt and friend to many. She was predeceased by brothers Ralph, Dominick and Tony Constantino and sisters Frances Cortez, Maria Borck, Bella Luco and Mary Biondi. Her funeral will be held on Saturday July 14, 2007 at the Holy Rosary Church for a mass of Christian Burial. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery Ansonia.
