Obituary for Carol Joyce Fainer

Carol Joyce Fainer, age 51, of Shelton, beloved daughter of Edward M. and Virginia Adzima Fainer of Shelton, died Friday April 20, 2007 at the Lord Chamberlain Health Care Center following a courageous 30 year bettle with MS and recent lung cancer.  Born in Derby on December 20, 1955 she was a life long resident of Shelton and Communicant of St. Lawrence Parih.  Miss Fainer was a 1973 graduate of Shelton High School and a graduate of Stone Business College.  She worked as a legal secretary for the Winnick, Vine & Welch Law Firm, Atty. Ralph Crozier, Atty. William Sarris and Atty. Norman Chase until the time of her illness which caused her to retire.  In addition to her parents, she is survived by her devoted brother and sister-in-law Edward J. and Margaret Fainer of Shelton; and an uncle John J. Adzime of Ansonia.  Miss Fainer was predeceased by a beloved sister, Mary A. Pillsbury.  Funeral services will take place from the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Avenue, Ansonia, Monday April 23, 2007  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Lawrence Church, 505 Shelton Avenue, Huntington at 12:30 p.m.  Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery Ansonia.  Family and friends may call on Sunday April 22, 2007 from 4 to 7 p.m.  Memorial contributions may be made to VITAS, Innovative Hospice Care, 777 Commerce Drive.
