Obituary for Jessie Ogden Ireland
Jessie Ireland, age 99 died Sunday Feb. 26, 1995 at the Derby Nursing Center, Derby, after a long illness. She was the widow of Harry Ireland. A private burial service will be held. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery. The Jenkins-King Funeral Home, Ansonia is in charge of the arrangements.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church, the church's former Dorcas Society and the American Legion Auxiliary. She leaves a son, William E. Ireland of Ansonia, three daughters Betty Jane Carney of Seymour, Marjorie Hulstrunk of New Jersey and Frances Ballantyne of Ansonia; 16 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Harvey "Bey" Ireland; a brother Harry Ogden; two sisters, Edith Trunkfield and Mildred Phipps.
