Obituary for MARJORIE TAYLOR

Peacefully on Thursday , July 23, 2020, Marjorie Alice Taylor was called home by the Lord. Born September 7, 1929, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Margie, as she was known by those who loved her, was always surrounded by great friends and family. With an infectious smile, she always had a kind word for you.

Marjorie grew up in Glen Hazel and attended Gladstone Middle School. She completed her education when she graduated from Allderdice High School in 1948. After high school Margie was married and the union produced three beautiful children. Margie was a loving mother who provided for her children, while working for Shadyside Hospital.  After working for the hospital, Margie worked for an noted  ophthalmologist in the Homewood section of Pittsburgh.

Margie had a tremendous memory. She could remember birthdates, baby weights and your license plate number. Margie enjoyed the company of her family, loved to travel, read and play the lottery. And let me tell you, she often won!

She was preceded in death by  father and mother John and  Amanda  Traylor,  daughter, Beverly Jean Tomman, grandson Tyrone D. Tomman and  son-in-law, James Coleman.

Margie leaves to celebrate her life,  daughter Debra L. Coleman, son Lonnie (Karin) Traylor , four grandsons, Erik D. Coleman, Lamont D.(Tamera) Tomman, Lonnie Traylor Jr.,  and Sheldon Oliver, eleven great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
