Obituary for Flo Anna Romero

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, July 22, 2020, in the Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers for Flo Anna Breaux Romero, 80, who passed away on Sunday, July 19, 2020.

Reverend Kenneth Domingue, Pastor of St. John Berchmans Catholic Church in Cankton, LA, will serve as Celebrant and will conduct the funeral services.

Burial will take place in Lafayette Memorial Park Mausoleum.

Flo was a native of Maurice, Louisiana. This young country girl married LeeRoy Romero, the love of her life, at a young age and became the mother of four children. Flo was a dedicated mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, always keeping the “country” in her life, even as a grown mother. Flo’s love for her family made her always available to whomever needed her today. Whether it was for her cooking, a shoulder to cry on or even a swift “talking to” - Flo was there! Her love for family and home will be greatly missed.

Flo also had two other loves in her life, travel and plants. She was known to have 10 “green thumbs” and she could repair any plant or make a brand new one from nothing but a stem cutting. Her family’s favorite was her love of travel. She wanted to see everything and was never late when told to be ready. She was always early, so she wouldn’t “miss the bus.”

Flo is survived by one daughter, Dianna Schroeder of Houston; three sons, Kenneth W. Romero and wife, Becky, of Youngsville, Dwayne K. Romero and wife, Eileen, of Duson and Brian L Romero, Sr. of Duson; eleven grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Marie Guillory and husband Roy, Alina Bourque and husband Irby, and Theresa Broussard; three brothers, Donald Breaux and wife Linda, Richard Breaux and wife, Cynthia and Jeffery Breaux and wife, Lily.

She was preceded in death by her husband, LeeRoy Romero; parents Zachary and Necié Breaux; son, Kody Romero; three brothers, Larris, Conrad and Nolan Breaux; and two sisters, Olga Milstead and Racey Gary.

Pallbearers will be Kenneth Romero, Jr., Josh Romero, Brian “Lee” Romero Jr., Rusty Romero, Jared Schroeder, Derrick Miller, Patrick “T-Pat” Lavergne.
