Obituary for KAAREN CRISAFULLI

Kaaren Crisafulli Kaaren Jo Ann Crisafulli, 77, of Centre Township, died February 3, 2021 in Penn State Health / St. Joseph. She was the widow of Joseph C. Crisafulli, who died June 17, 2020. Born April 20, 1943 in Reading, PA., she was a daughter of late Joseph A., and Catherine (Biehl) Faller. Kaaren was a 1961 graduate of Muhlenberg High School. She was a member of Holy Guardian Angels R.C. Church, Hyde Park. Kaaren loved animals, growing plants and working on her farm. She along with her late husband, Joseph, opened ”Joe’s Place”, Hyde Park, a bar she ran and loved for the last 21 years. Kaaren is survived by two sons: Joseph A., husband of Carol F. (Weik) Crisafulli and Anthony M. Crisafulli, companion of Shayla Hoffman; all of Muhlenberg Township. She was affectionately known as “Grammom”” to 9 grandchildren: Joseph S., husband of Michelle Crisafulli; Dustin, husband of Katie Hansell; Amanda, wife of Frank Emmerling; Derek Crisafulli; Allesondra (Crisafulli) Pritiskutch; Anthony Crisafulli; Ava Crisafulli, Riley Johnson, and Grayson Crisafulli. Other survivors include 12 great grandchildren: Cameron Crisafulli; Mathew Crisafulli; Gianna Crisafulli; Emily Crisafulli; Kaylee Beury; Addison Beury; Harper Hansell; William Emmerling; Sebastian Crisafulli; Joseph Crisafulli, Chloe Stewart, and Madison Emmerling. Kaaren will also be missed by her pet peacock, “Buddy”. She was predeceased by two siblings: David Faller and Gene Faller. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, February 11th at 11:00 am in Holy Guardian Angels R.C. Church, 3121 Kutztown Rd., Hyde Park. Viewings will be held Wednesday, February 10th from 6:00 – 8:00 pm in Stitzel Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale and Thursday morning from 10:30 – 11:00 am in the Church.
