Obituary for Harriette Melion Helmer

Harriette M. Helmer born Harriette Ann Melion died peacefully in her sleep at Kaiser Hospital in San Francisco, California on November 24^th, 2019 at the age of 63.

 Harriette is survived by husband, Henry Z. Helmer Sr. children, Elijah Henry Z. Helmer Jr., Zelman Ely Helmer and sibling, Walter S. Melion. She is preceded in death by Father, Hans Melion and Mother, Lourdes Belo Melion.

 Harriette was born on August 3rd, 1956 in Manila, Philippines to Hans and Lourdes. She attended Star of the Sea Grammar School, George Washington High School and later went on to graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree from San Francisco State University in 1982.  She married Henry, her high school sweetheart in 1976. After college Harriette became an employee for the State of California first working with the California Court of Appeal, First Appellate District, Division 5 and finally retiring from the California Supreme Court while working in the Chambers of Justice Janice R. Brown in 2006. However her retirement was brief as she began working for Lucasfilm Ltd.in the same year and recently retired in 2019.

 Harriette was an accomplished writer and avid reader. She was a smart and witty individual who loved the law, history and world politics but she was passionate about life and family.
