Obituary for Alma Tanhueco Castaneda

Alma Castaneda was born to Bernardo Tanhueco and Marina Samia on May 07, 1945 in Angeles City, Philippines. She graduated at the Far Eastern University with a Bachelor's Degree in Banking and Finance. She is the 6th among eight children survived by Alegria Puno and Rico Tanhueco with departed brothers Rodel, Bernardo, Eduardo and sisters Norma Tanhueco and Nelia Morales.  She was a loving wife to her husband, Frank, and a loving mother to her children Riza, who is married to Peter, Darwin married to Sen, and Ruth married to Jay.  She has three grandchildren namely, Nikki, Adrian and Urjth.  She immigrated to the United States of America with her husband on August 21,1998, where she was employed at the Home Depot from 1998 until 2018 as a cashier.  She was diagnosed with cancer on November of 2017.  She had surgery in January of 2018 and was cancer free.  But in February of 2019 the cancer metastasized which left her in the hospital most of the time, until she passed away on September 02, 2019.

Alma Castaneda was a kind hearted woman who always thought of others before herself. She was the one who saw the good things in people before offering judgement.  She was very fond of eating and was always eager to provide food for everyone, whether it’d be a small gathering at home or an outing with her loved ones. Best known for encouraging everyone to save money, she was never short in offering what she has to anyone in need

She will always be remembered and will be missed dearly.
