Obituary for Dolores Martin

Dolores E. Martin (Dolly) was born on September 1, 1936 to Alfred and Meta Grabman. She grew up in Northern Virginia. She was married to Ernest Brasse and had one daughter, Kathy, before they divorced. She married Gordon Martin and they were married for almost 20 years when he died. They enjoyed boating, traveling and Redskins games. When they retired to Front Royal, Dolly did volunteer Tax Assistance work. 
Dolly worked for Metropolitan Life for 35 years. She was active in the Veteran’s Association and was Veteran of the Year in 2010. In 2001, she moved to Culpeper and loved it. She was active in the Culpeper Presbyterian Church and volunteered at the Hospital Coffee Shop. She had an amazing group of friends and neighbors.
Dolly died unexpectedly on July 24, 2019 at Culpeper Medical Center. She leaves her daughter Kathy Brasse, her cat Lily, brother Gene Grabman, nephews Mike Grabman and Bryan Grabman, niece Judy Mercado and their families, Goddaughter Jeannie Klein, numerous cousins and friends.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Culpeper Humane Society, P. O. Box 1032, Culpeper, VA 22701.
