Obituary for Arnel D. Garcia

Arnel de Jesus Garcia, born August 22, 1967 joined his loving parents Artemio and Soledad Garcia on the 6th of June 2019th.  Arnel is a beloved brother to Arlene, an easy going Uncle, good cousin, and friend who lived day to day to take care of who he loves and lived as simple private fun non complicated life.

Arnel, “Manong” as he is called by his sister (“Ading”) loved spending time at home while he planned weekly movies, restaurant or Broadway show premiers.  He watched approximately 12,000+ movies and read about 2,000 books including weekly newspapers and a variety of magazines.  Arnel always attended the annual Comic Con, Wondercon, Wizard World, Disney Expo across USA and his semiannual Studio Tours and TV tapings, Disneyland/Cali Disney, Universal/Paramount, WB, Sony, ABC, NBC, CBS Southern California events and his occasional Pacquiao / boxing matches in Las Vegas.  In addition, Manong often knows what and when new movies, TV and Broadway shows to watch and Entertainment events like Disney/Pixar, Star Wars, Star Trek, Marvel, DC, Universal, SyFy, Boxing that are upcoming or a “must see.”   Arnel is full of knowledge across the board from Politics, Entertainment, History, Olympics, Sports, DIY, Safety Measures and so much more information that his sister calls him my “Manongpedia.”

Arnel’s family and friends across the United States, Canada and Philippines is surely missing him.  He is thanking everyone who loved and cared for him and the following special people in his life, Arlene; Uncles and Aunts:  Uncle Jack, Aunty Pat, Aunty Andie, Aunty Tacing, Uncle Sonny, Aunty Lydia, Aunty Flora, Aunty Ency, Aunty Elvie, Tita Elvie; Cousins and Friends: Jumar, Joel, Jason, Matthew, Cathleen, John John, Gwen, Eric, Rizza, Gemma, Melissa, Alyssa, Shelley; Nephews and Nieces:  Nathan, Jayden, Caitlyn, Megan, Jazlyn, Raeleena, Jasmine, Janelle, Janine, Zachary, Davey; Friends/Colleagues: Ana, Pedro, Flor and the Moonlighters, Workmates and Comic Con / PacMan Friends.

From Arlene:  I will remember Arnel forever.  Manong shows his heart, kindness, humor and music skills to special family and friends and lived with a mantra, “I am ok as long as my love ones are ok” and “I may be slow to you, but I am ahead of you.”

We Love and Miss you ~And~ Thank you.

Until we meet each other again...
