Obituary for Angelina D. Cruz

Angelina D. Cruz was born on January 4, 1922 in the province of Taytay Rizal Philippines. She was the fourth

child out of six children to the late Victorino and Claudia De Leon. She was married to her childhood sweetheart

the late Vicente Jose Cruz.

Angelina was better known as "Inang" and "Grandma Liling" to her family and friends. She is survived by her

6 children, Lucita, Vicente Jr., Jeremias, Carolina, Cristia , and Endna; as well as 13 grandchildren, and 12

great grandchildren.

To those who knew Grandma Liling or Inang, one can say that she is a gracious and compassionate person.

She was always thoughtful, generous and loving to her parents, siblings, her children, grandchildren and great

grandchildren. She is also known to worry and look for those she hasn't seen in a while: rest assured you will get

a friendly phone call or letter from her making sure you're well and all is good. Grandma Liling is an amazing cook;

her signature dish is "sinigang na kanduli" (Catfish sour soup). Never one to be lazy, she loved her work outs, reading,

and watching "teleserye".

But the most remarkable quality about Inang/Grandma Liling is her unwavering faith and membership in the

Iglesia Ni Criso (Church of Christ). She converted and was baptized in the church more than 70 years ago and

truly believed and reminded us all that "No matter what happens, we will not leave the church because this is

the true church, true faith and true God. " We will miss our smiley face, till we meet again Inang/Grandma Liling.....

I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.
