Obituary for Ruth Lee Wong

Ruth Lee Wong was born in 1926 in a small village in the countryside of Canton, China.  She lived there until she came to the United States at the age of 11, traveling with her mother and Doris, her sister.

 Her mom got a job making clothes in a factory and doing any other work she could find.  Ruth and her sister wanted to help out so they both got a job cleaning shrimp while also going to school.  It was while going to school that Ruth met Leo Wong and in 1944, they were married.  Their marriage lasted for 56 years until Leo passed away in 2001.  They had six children:  Hilda (who preceded them in death in 1992).  Maryline (and Jeff), Hedy, Heide, Harold, and Helene.

 She was a grandmother to Michelle (and Rich) Boesch, Alex (and Crystal) Young, Danielle (and Ryan) Howard, Kevin Hee, Rochelle (and Brian) Vogel, and Jennifer Hee.  She was also a great-grandmother to Brittany and Taylor Boesch, Logan and Justin Howard, Kaitlyn and Brandon Vogel, and Bailey Young.

 She is survived by her brothers Johnny (and Winnie), Donald, and Ray (and Mae).
