Obituary for Betty Virginia Morris

Heaven gained an angel on January 28, 2019. Betty Virginia Morris passed away at the home of her daughter

in Santa Clarita, California, at the age of 91, after a short bout with cancer.

Betty was born in 1927 in Oak Park, Illinois, and came to California in the 1950's. She settled in the Bay

Area, where she met her future husband, William Arthur (Art). They were married in 1957 in San Francisco

Together they travel led the world, visiting Japan, China, Australia, Greece, and Italy, to name just a few

places. Her beloved Art preceded her passing in 2006. Betty has lived with her daughter, Lisa Shea, and

her family in recent years. 

Betty had a love of life and an infectious laugh. She enjoyed dining out, shopping, going to church and

spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Betty Virginia is survived by her two children, Daughter Lisa Shea, her husband Ken, and their children

Bryce and Kelsea, and her son Steven Morris, his wife Jeanette and their children, William and Jacqueline.

Betty is, and will continue to be, deeply missed. Yet we take comfort in knowing that she is reunited with

Art, the love of her life.

Memorial services and celebration of Betty's life were held on February 16 at the First Presbyterian

Church of Newhall. Family burial will take place on March 23 at Cypress Lawn in Colma, California
