Obituary for Jagdish "Jackie" Kaur Ram

Ms. Jagdish “Jackie” Kaur Ram was born on September 10, 1984 in Redwood City, California. She called Burlingame, California her home for the past 18 years.

She attended Allen Elementary School and Parkside Intermediate School in San Bruno. Thereafter, she graduated from Burlingame High School in 2002. She fulfilled her childhood dream by attending and graduating from the University of California, Berkeley in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science. The Dean’s List recognized Jackie’s outstanding performance in each year of her undergraduate studies.  She advanced her academic career by earning a Masters of Business  Administration (MBA) from San Francisco State University.

Jackie utilized her educational background to establish herself as a   successful business woman. She was an invaluable asset and driving force behind the advancement of the family business. Jackie’s knowledge combined with her strong communication skills commanded recognition in her profession. She received many accolades from  different organizations adding to her list of accomplishments.

Jackie had a passion for politics and public service. She was instrumental in organizing many fundraisers for the local, state, and National Democratic Party. Jackie served as a Board of  Director on the San Bruno Chamber of Commerce. She was a very active participant in all of the Chamber’s events and activities. Jackie was also very fond of serving the community by doing SEVA at various Gurdwaras in the Bay Area and other types of charitable social work.

Jackie had a wide variety of hobbies which included traveling the world, dining at the most trendiest restaurants, trying different cuisines, keeping up with the newest fashions, and attending sporting events. She is an avid fan of all the bay area sporting teams. Jackie is known as being a social butterfly who always loves meeting new people. She will always be remembered for her sweet blissful face, loving nature towards all, sense of humor, contagious laugh and infectious smile.

Jackie is the loving daughter of Late Commissioner Lahori Ram and Prito Ram. She is the affectionate and caring sister to Jagdev (Jack) Ram and Ajaipaul (Paul) Ram. She is the devoted sister-in-law to  Ramitpal Ram and the nurturing aunt to Jasmyne Kaur Ram. She has a very large extended family some of whom live locally and abroad. Jackie also has a great circle of friends that she cherished and admired.

Jagdish Kaur Ram passed away unexpectedly on January 20, 2019.  Our Queen of Hearts will be missed but never forgotten, for she is an eternal flame that will forever shine bright throughout time.

Her memories and legacy will be imprinted in everyone’s heart forever.

Visitation has been scheduled for Tuesday evening, January 29, 2019 from 5 to 8 pm in the Tiffany Chapel of Cypress Lawn Funeral Home, 1370 El Camino Real, Colma.  Her funeral service will take place beginning at 10:00 am on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at the San Francisco Scottish Rite Center, 2850 Nineteenth Ave. (at Sloat Blvd.) in San Francisco, followed by Cremation at 3:00 pm Wednesday at Noble Chapel of Cypress Lawn Cemetery.
