Obituary for Dennis Donald Perkins

Dennis Donald Perkins, 71, of Olathe, Kansas passed away at the Olathe Hospice House surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, January 9, 2019. He will forever be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle and friend to everyone he met.

Dennis was born in Holstein Iowa on September 14, 1947 to Donald Ernest Perkins and Joyce Millicent (Moltman) Perkins. He attended and graduated school in Battle Creek, Iowa. Dennis married the love of his life Joyce Elaine Feddersen on May 17, 1969 in Clinton Iowa. Prior to his retirement Dennis worked at Hantover Industrial Distributors, for twenty and a half years. He enjoyed his life spending time with family and friends, his love for Jesus and volunteering for Catch-a-Ride to drive senior citizens to their appointments. He was a dedicated member of the Antioch Church in Overland Park, Kansas.

Dennis is preceded in death by his parents, Donald Ernest Perkins and Joyce Millicent (Moltman) Albers. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years Joyce E. Perkins of the home. He leaves behind his loving daughter, Denise Fuller, his faithful companion, “Jake” and his brother, Bill Albers of Meridian Idaho, left behind to cherish his memory are his three granddaughters, Amanda Protzmann, Erica Harris, and Jessica Fuller. He will be sadly missed by his three great grandchildren, Angelina Moore, Lucas Moore, and Oliver Harris (with baby, Aaron Jones on the way).

Dennis will be cremated according to his wishes. A Memorial service is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 16th at the Antioch Church 5201 Antioch Road Overland Park, Kansas. Visitation will be one hour prior to the memorial service at the church.
