Obituary for Ethel M. Boyer

Ethel M. (Reiss) Boyer, 86, of Macungie, died Thursday, November 15, 2018, in Kutztown Manor Nursing Home, Kutztown. She was the widow of Harold C. Boyer, who died September 5, 2010. Born in Emmaus, she was a daughter of the late Henry M. and Ruth (Sallade) Reiss. Ethel was a member of Huff's Union Church, Alburtis. She was employed as a finisher for Knoll, Inc., East Greenville, until her retirement. Ethel enjoyed cooking and baking.  She also loved picnics with the family  and swimming.

Ethel is survived by daughters, Debra M. Boyer, Mertztown; Sheila D. (Boyer) Hollenbach, Macungie; sons, Barry L. husband of, Tiffany S. (Swoyer) Boyer, Hamburg; and Glenn C. husband of, Judy L. (Erb) Boyer, Hereford. Other survivors include a sister Susan (Reiss) Craddock, Allentown; brothers, Robert Reiss, Emmaus; and David Reiss, Emmaus. There are also nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Ethel was predeceased by sisters, Shirley Reiss and Gloria (Reiss) Flexer and a brother Bruce Reiss.

Funeral services to celebrate Ethel's life will be held on Monday, November 19, 2018, at 2:00 p.m., from Huff's Union Church, 540 Conrad Road, Alburtis, with Reverend Jane M. Kropa, officiating. Interment in Huff Church Union Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call Monday from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. in the church.
