Obituary for Rodolfo R Tiri

Rodolfo “Rudy” Rebudos Tiri was born on June 7, 1946 in Ilocos Sur Magsingal, Philippines. He is the  3rd eldest Hermogenes and Juliana Tiri’s 6 children. He married the late Alejandra Uclusin Tiri in December 1978. Alejandra preceded him in January 23, 1996 leaving him widowed at the age of 49.

Alejandra and Rodolfo were blessed to be petitioned to come to America in 1979 by Alejandra’s brother Wilfredo Uclusin. Rodolfo worked at San Francisco General Hospital for 17 years, then got the opportunity to work at Lucky Chances Casino for another 17 years.

He was a diligent worker, working 6 days a week for many years to provide for his family. He was a caring, compassionate individual who always had the best interest at heart. He looked for the good in people regardless of how a situation was presented to him. He lived a quiet, humble life, never taking anything for granted, and rarely had a negative word to say. His ultimate goal was to “keep everyone happy.” This resonated upon his selfless gestures and his ability make people laugh with his silly sense of humor, not only amongst his loved ones, but to people who he just met.

He was diagnosed with stage 4 Lung Cancer on March 2017, which he battled for a little over a year and a half. Rudy passed away peacefully on Sunday November 4, 2018, age 72, at the Jewish Home Skilled Nursing Facility in San Francisco California. He is survived by his only daughter Karen Tiri Guevara, son-in-law Eduardo Guevara Jr., granddaughter Gianna Elise Tiri Guevara, and his siblings: Emiteria Tiri, Juanita Tiri deVera, Wilma Tiri Lagrimas, Alfredo Tiri, and (the late) Laurente Tiri

He was loved by many and will be remembered by his endless patience, warm generosity, and admirable charisma he has instilled in the lives of his friends and loved ones.

Heaven has gained an angel. He will truly be missed and will live forever in our hearts.
