Obituary for Dwane Hampton Jr. Dickson

On October 2nd, 1980 Dwane Hampton Dickson, Jr was born at Griffin Hospital, Derby Connecticut. To Dwane H. Dickson Sr. and Kenya Gregg. Dwane commenced his formative years in Bridgeport Connecticut prior to moving to Newark, New Jersey a place that he loved and called home. He passed away on Oct. 18, 2018. Dwane was a member of the Boys Scouts and enjoyed practicing Karate. Dwane was a quiet child that kept himself and was not easily influenced. Dwane attended to school in New Jersey and later completed his High School education at the Marque Learning Center in Houston Texas in 2009. Dwane was fascinated with playing with and fixing cars and truck that grew into his Career as an Auto Mechanic in his adult life. Dwane and Shaunte met in 2010 and while getting to know each other better they also found themselves developing a greater spiritual call and answered the invitation to be baptized into the Body of Christ at Sugar Creek Church of Christ on January 2nd, 2011. Dwane enjoyed his work in the church serving on the communion, as an usher being a part of the Men’s Ministry and being able to continue as a member of the Eastside Church of Christ. Dwane and Shaunte were married on August 27th, 2011 and was proud to now have his own family with 2 sons Cameron and Collin. To Dwane family was  everything from his own family, his work family and his church family. Dwane loved to travel and see and meet new family and would spend many hours talking with his friends and family on the phone each week. He would spend hours talking with the boys about the importance of taking their education serious, loving and respecting their mother. Dwane is survived by his wife Shaunte Rouse Dickson his children Cameron and Collin Rouse; parent’s Dwane Dickson, Sr., Kenya Gregg, George (Paula) Rouse Sr. Surviving siblings are Roschem (Erika) Buster, Dominique Dickson, Angela (Carlton) Hockaday, George (Mosella) Rouse III, Michael Wingate and Sherri Brinson, Niece and Nephew Brionna Dickson, Nyckiole Bush, Great Grandmother Dorothy Williams, Aunts and Uncles Terri, Tammy, and Bridget Gregg, Gerod Gregg, Gerald Gregg, Valeria Dickson, Denise Dickson,  Colridge Dickson Jr., Donald Dickson, two very special cousins Karen Dickson Brown and Kathy Dickson and a magnitude of surviving cousins. He will be buried on Friday, Oct. 26 in Pine Grove Cemetery in Ansonia. Friends and family will gather at The Jenkins King & Malerba Funeral Home, 12 Franklin St. Ansonia for services of prayer at 11:00 a.m., and interment will follow
