Obituary for Dennis R. Knerr

Dennis R. Knerr, 66, of Topton, formerly of the village of Shamrock and later, the village of Hancock, died on Thursday, October 4, 2018 in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Harold E. and Goldie L. (Heffner) Knerr.  Dennis was a 1970 graduate of Brandywine Heights High School, Topton. He was employed as a Fabricator at FSI Products, Allentown for 8 years, retiring in 2002. Prior to that, he worked as a laborer for 20 years at Bally Case and Cooler, Bally, and Atlas Minerals and Chemicals, Inc., Mertztown. He was also an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan.

Dennis is survived by his siblings, Warren E. Knerr, and his wife, Gloria, Breinigsville, Miriam F. (Knerr) Swoyer, Allentown, Marie J. (Knerr) Conrad, Northport, FL, and Betty L. (Knerr) Schaffer, and her husband, Thomas, Sr., Allentown, and many nieces and nephews. In Addition to his parents, Dennis was predeceased by his two brothers, Edward A. Knerr, Lee R. Knerr, and a sister, Anita N. (Knerr) Hartline.

A funeral service to celebrate Dennis's life will be held on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in Ludwick Funeral Homes, Inc., 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown with Reverend Arthur L. Hahn officiating.  Burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery, Allentown.  Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing on Wednesday morning from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home.
