Obituary for John Quinn

Obituary - John  Quinn, 79, of Darby, PA, died September 26, 2018 at St. Francis Center. Born and raised in St Clement's Parish, Philadelphia, he had  been a longtime a resident of  Drexel Hill. A graduate of  St. Joe's Prep, he received his undergraduate degree from St Joe's University, his MS from Villanova and attended 2 years of law school. He was a member of St. Andrew the Apostle Parish. John enjoyed the pursuit of learning. Although physically challenged from birth, Jack never gave up and walked incessantly through the city on his crutches.  Staying close to his Catholic faith, he contributed to communities of Religious women and the Daylesford Abbey.  Jack kept a diary or journal every day recording his deepest thoughts. As a young man he engaged in many sporting activities in spite of his challenges. Jack was a longtime resident of Drexel Hill before moving to Clifton Heights and more recently to St. Francis Center in Darby.

Survivors: He was the brother of Thomas Quinn, Sr. Norine Mary Quinn, IHM and the late James, Edward and Claire Quinn.

Funeral Mass will be 10:00 am Friday, October 5, 2018, at St. Andrew the Apostle Church, 3500 School Lane, Drexel Hill, PA. 19026

Interment: SS Peter and Paul Cemetery, Marple, PA 19064

Contributions: in his memory to St. Andrew the Apostle School Lane & Foss Ave. Drexel Hill, PA 19026, would be preferred
