Obituary for Carolyn Ruth Wilson

Carolyn Ruth Wilson, 75, of Olathe, Kansas passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday, January 19, 2015.

Carolyn was born July 26, 1939 in Kansas City, MO to Ed and Virginia Klausen. She married David P. Wilson November 29, 1958.
Carolyn lived in the Johnson County area for nearly her entire life. After graduating Shawnee Mission High School in 1957, she attended nursing school at Trinity Lutheran Hospital School of Nursing in Kansas City completing her degree in 1960. After graduating nursing school, she became a registered nurse for 55 years. 
Carolyn loved her family and enjoyed baking and cooking for everyone. She had a great passion for quilting. She never wanted to miss Thursday’s quilt day as that was her sewing day when her and her friends would gather, work on their quilts and enjoy each other’s company. She also enjoyed her bible study classes and getting together with her Bunko group.
Carolyn enjoyed cruising the Caribbean. She enjoyed her first cruise when they went for their 45th wedding anniversary. That trip ignited their love of travel.

She is survived by her husband David Wilson of 56 years, their four children, Mark Wilson, Jeff Wilson & spouse Shelly, Christi Teegarden & spouse Charlie, and Eric Wilson & spouse Gina, along with eight grandchildren: Valerie, Ian, Chris, Jessie, Taylor, Alex, Parker, Stephanie and two great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, April Baswell, Merriam, Kansas.
