Obituary for Carole Stanley

Carole Ann Tinney Stanley, 82 beloved daughter of the late Grace and Earle F. Tinney, entered into eternal rest peacefully on August 10, 2018 surrounded by her family. Carole was born on October 4, 1935 in Derby, CT. Carole was educated through the Ansonia public school system. She worked for and retired from Bic Pen Corporation after 26 years of service in 1998. Earlier she worked for Sikorsky Aircraft and BF Goodrich. She was a devout Christian attending first Clinton A.M. E Zion, then she was a founding member of Temple of Praise C.O.G.I.C in Waterbury, CT. then moving on to Kingdom Love Center for the past 10 years, under the leadership of the late Dr. Kim Carmichael and Bishop Frankie Carmichael. She was a member of the Mother Board, and Greeters at Kingdom Love Center. Carole loved to shop on QVC, HSN, Macys, The Dollar Store and Boscov's, and loved going out to dinner eating good food. Cost was never an issue. In her spare time she loved watching soap operas, "Blue Bloods" and the trilogy of "Jaws." Carole is survived by her children, four daughters, Sharyn L. Grant (Clifton E. Graves Jr.), of New Haven, CT., Gayle Y. Stanley, of Woodbridge, CT., Lorianne (Elder Henry) Wade, of Willimantic, CT, Joanne L. Stanley, of Dunedin, FL and one son, Earl Darrin Stanley, of Ansonia, CT, 12 grandchildren, 21 great-grand children, 6 great- great grandchildren. She is also survived by a host of loving family consisting of cousins, church family, and extended family members. Carole was predeceased by daughter Deborah E. Stanley and lifetime partner James Lindsay. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at The Kingdom Love Center Ministries on 19 George St. Hamden, CT. Friends may call AT CHURCH on Thursday, 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, 15 Church St. Ansonia, CT.
