Obituary for Myrl K. J. Kramer

Myrl K. J. (Sanders) Kramer, 94, formerly of Topton, passed away on Sunday, July 29, 2018, in the Lutheran Home at Topton, where she was a resident since 2004.  She was the widow of William F. Kramer, who died in 2004. Born in Topton, she was a daughter of the late Elmer and Sue (Biehl) Sanders. A graduate of Kutztown Area High School, she worked as a cook for the Brandywine Heights Area School District for many years, until her retirement.  Prior to that, she worked for the former Royal Manufacturing, Alburtis. Myrl was a former member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Ray A. Master Post 217, American Legion, Topton.  She enjoyed crocheting and embroidery.

She is survived by her daughter, Kathleen M. (Kramer), wife of Edward K. Fritch, Topton; granddaughters, Michele J. (Fritch), wife of Jeffrey Mack, Mertztown, and Janet L. (Fritch), wife of Steven Ferry, Alburtis.  There are also three great grandchildren, Kyle Mack, Audrey Murphy and Meghan (Ferry), wife of Wesley Meredith, one great-great granddaughter, Mikayla Murphy; and nieces and nephews, Harry DeLong, Glenn Swartzentruber, Linda Sterner and Michael I. Stump, Esq.  Myrl was predeceased by sisters Anna DeLong Fenstermacher, Ella Rothermel, and Lona Swartzentruber, and a niece Marcia Strause.

A memorial service to celebrate Myrl's life will be held on Saturday, August 11, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in Deibert Hall, located in the Breidegam Center Building on the campus of The Lutheran Home at Topton, 1 S. Home Avenue, Topton, PA, with Reverend Dr. Jeremiah A. Sassaman officiating. Burial will follow in Lehigh Zion Cemetery, Alburtis. Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation on Saturday, Aug. 11, from 10:00 to 11:00 AM in Deibert Hall.

Myrl loved to play the games offered by the Activities Department at The Lutheran Home. Since they were always so kind to her, the family requests contributions be made in Myrl's memory to the Activities Department of The Lutheran Home at Topton, 1 South Home Avenue, Topton, PA 19562.
