Obituary for Janice Marcia Ahmad

Janice Ahmad

( July 10, 2018 )

Janice Marcia Ahmad was born in Georgetown, Guyana on July, 11, 1956. Her Parents were Esther and John Baptiste, both of Guyana, South America.

She attributed her childhood memories to the network of her caring Families and some life long Friends. She was always proud that she completed her education to 12th Grade, and that at 12 years of age, she made a public decision to receive Christ as her Savior.

Her deceased Grandfather, Mr. Norman Sukra, and her Aunt, Elaine Baran, significantly impacted her early spiritual life. On August, 26, 1978 she married Wali Ahmad in Georgetown, Guyana, and later in1979 she gave birth to Stephen Walter Ahmad. On February, 17, 1984 she delivered Faith Christina Ahmad at Mt Hope, in Trinidad and Tobago.

She often mentioned that 1987 was an incredible year for her- she actually learned to water Ski and Horseback Riding out in Wyoming. Also, her Husband and she were appointed as Missionaries with BCM Intl. Marcia was a Devoted Mother -- believing that Motherhood is the Greatest Task; a Faithful Wife – ensuring that her Husband lives Godly.

Over the past decade she was diagnosed with an Auto Immune Condition, which in 2016 left her almost incapacitated. Through it all, she never lost certainty that Christ is her Lord and Heaven is her Home. On Tuesday, July, 10, 2018, around 4 pm, she went to be with the Lord Jesus.

She is survived by her Husband (Wali), her Son (Stephen), her Daughter in Law (Christine), her Daughter (Faith) and her Sister (Allison). The upcoming birth of her Grand Daughter in August, was always in her thoughts.

It is suggested that any Donations in honor of Janice be sent to The Germantown Christian Assembly.
