Obituary for Connie M. Pilgert

Connie M. Pilgert, 66, of Kutztown, died suddenly on Thursday, June 14, 2018 in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. Born in Allentown, Connie was a daughter of the late Russel and Norma M. (Tobias) Pilgert. She was a 1969 graduate of Brandywine Heights High School, Topton. Connie worked as a Presser and Clerk at Kelchner Cleaners, Kutztown for 20 years. She had also worked as a Cashier at the former Max's Thriftway, Kutztown for many years. Connie enjoyed talking with the customers at both Kelchner's and Max's, learning about them and their families over the years.

Her hobbies included gardening, reading, cooking, going out to eat, and spending time with her friends. She also liked listening to piano music, especially the sounds of Yanni, and partaking in house tours in the area. Connie had a profound knowledge of pottery and had quite a collection of her own. She could often be found walking the sidewalks of Kutztown and talking with the many people she knew along the way, or across the street at Mr. Food. Connie's kind and gentle nature will continue to live on, not only in the hearts of the ones who knew her, but also through her choice to be an organ donor.

Connie is survived by her daughter, Marci B. Grossman, and her spouse, Judith A. Domanico, Ambler, PA, and their children, Christine E. Clement and Stephen J. Clement; her two aunts, Ruby Koch, Macungie, and Lucy Braun, and husband Dick, of Allen Park, Michigan, and several cousins. She is also is survived by her four-legged companion, Cora Beth, who she adored, grand-dogs, Shelby and Sophia, and special friends and neighbors, Brian and Nancy Koller, Catherine Freeby, and all of her many friends.

Bertolette officiating. Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation on Thursday afternoon from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be private.
