Obituary for Felipe L. Lucas

Beloved husband of the late Filomena for 58 years, Felipe Lucas is survived by children Edmund (Anne), Darlene (Tucker), Lawrence (Vivian), Evelyn (Dennis), Rosie (Robel), and grandchildren Chris (Irina), Justin, Edwin (Kristin), Richard (Tennaye), Vicente, Nathan, Breanna, Mona (Kim), Marie, and greatgrandchildren Mark, Kyle, Bella, Kaleb.

 

Felipe and his four siblings were born to Anacleto and Serapia Lucas in Isabela, Republic of the Philippines. In 1930, at age 17, Felipe emigrated to the US, and settled in San Francisco. He served in the US Navy during World War II, and married the love of his life, Filomena, in 1948. Felipe and Filomena were devoted to family, church, and friends.

 

Felipe retired from the US Postal Service in 1981 at the age of 68. He enjoyed working in his garden and rooting for his San Francisco Giants. Felipe lived a long and prosperous life, demonstrating strong will, boundless energy, and selfless generosity.
