Obituary for Phyllis C. Moyer

Phyllis C. (Moll) Moyer, 76, of Longswamp Township, died peacefully, Thursday, May 17, 2018, in her home, surrounded by her loving family.  She was the wife of Ronald F. Moyer, Sr., whom she married February 14, 1959, in Longswamp U.C.C. Church, Mertztown.  Born in Maxatawny Township, she was a daughter of the late Wayne Moll and the late Edna (DeLong) Rhode, and step daughter of the late Ray Rhode. Phyllis attended Huff's Union Church, Alburtis. Phyllis worked over 47 years as Deli Manager at Radcliffe's Great Valu Grocery Store, Mertztown, until her retirement in 2013.  Phyllis loved tending to her flower beds, reading, crocheting, but most importantly, spending time with her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren.  The family would like to acknowledge hospice workers Denise and Jen for their compassionate care of Phyllis. 

In addition to her husband of 59 years, Ronald, Phyllis is survived by her children: Jodi L. (Moyer) Trexler, Macungie; Wendy J., wife of Chris A. Wittman, Macungie; Ronald F. Moyer, Jr., Alburtis; Melissa D. (Moyer), wife of Joel C. Epting, Blandon; and Jessica B. (Moyer), wife of David J. Kauffman, Oley.  Other survivors include a brother, Ronald Moll, Reading; fourteen grandchildren and twenty-two great grandchildren.  In addition to her parents and step father, Phyllis was predeceased by a sister Ruth (Rhode) Ferry; and brothers, Stanley Moll and Larry Moll.

A Memorial Service to celebrate Phyllis' life will be held on Tuesday, May 22, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. from Ludwick Funeral Homes, Inc., 25 East Weis Street, Topton, with Reverend Jane M. Kropa, officiating. Relatives and friends may call on Tuesday, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home.  Inurnment will be private at the convenience of the family.
