Obituary for Patricia A. Youse

Patricia A. (Weidner) Youse, 77, of Millsboro, Delaware, formerly of Fleetwood, passed away on Saturday, May 5, 2018 in Frederick Living, Frederick, PA, where she was a resident for two weeks. She was the widow of Marlin S. Youse, who died on August 31, 2000. Born in  Lyon Station, Patricia was a daughter of the late Luther A. and Laura (Dietrich) Weidner. She was a member of New Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church, Fleetwood, and was a 1958 graduate of Kutztown Area High School. She worked for 30 years at the former Fleetwood Sportswear, where she retired as a Supervisor. She later worked in the parts department, alongside her late husband, Marlin at the former Scott A. Youse Jeep Dealership, New Jerusalem, until his death in 2000. Patricia was a life member of Pike Township Sportsmen's Association, Oley. While living in Millsboro, she became very active with the American Legion Post 28, Elks Lodge No. 2540, and the Indian River Senior Center, where she enjoyed playing BINGO and going on their casino bus trips.

Patricia is survived by her sister-in-law, Erna E. (Herrmann) Weidner, of Lyon Station, widow of her late brother, Melvin D. Weidner, who died in 2016; their son, Stieven G., husband of Faye L. (Moser) Weidner of Schwenksville, and their family, Lindsey and Ryan Waltermyer and children, Hannah and Noah; and Kristopher and Taren Weidner and son, Ethan.

A funeral service to celebrate Patricia's life will be held on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in Ludwick Funeral Homes, Inc., 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown, with Reverend Althea Albright, officiating. Burial will follow in New Jerusalem Union Cemetery, Fleetwood (Rockland Township). Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing on Saturday morning from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home.
