Obituary for Margaret Jean Lynn Speck

Margaret Lynn Speck, age 90, died on April 30, 2018 at Tel Hai Retirement Community in Honeybrook.

Mrs Speck was born in St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada and received her nursing degree R.N. from Saint Josephs Hospital in Hamilton, Ontario in 1950. Margaret was a long time resident of Lansdowne and Drexel Hill.

In the 1960’s she was for a time president of the Hahnemann Hospital Association and was the association’s representative on the hospital’s board of directors. She was active in her community including the YMCA and her church. She was the night Nurse supervisor at several retirement communities during her 25 year nursing career in Delaware County.

Margaret is survived by her seven children David, Drew, Diana Silvestri, Dean, Deborah Battaglino, Daphne-Bartynski and Daniel, 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her sisters, Nancy Lynn and Elva Lynn Jordan.

A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, May 5th at Holy Comforter Church 1000 Burmont Road Drexel Hill, PA. at 1:00 PM.

Interment: Private
