Obituary for Edna M. Conrad

Edna Marie (Weidner) Conrad, 97, formerly of Fleetwood and Mertztown, died Thursday, April 26, 2018 in Kutztown Manor Nursing Home, Kutztown, where she was a resident since December 15, 2015.  She was the widow of William M. Conrad, who died on November 8, 2012.  Born in Bern Township, she was a daughter of the late Glance and Carrie (Wartzenluft) Weidner.  Mrs. Conrad was a member of New Jerusalem Lutheran Church, Rockland Township.  She was employed as a sewing machine operator at the former Deisher Knitting Mills, Kutztown.

Edna is survived by sons: Dale G. A., husband of, Beverly A. (Barlet) Conrad; and Dennis L. Conrad, both of Fleetwood.  There are five grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.  In addition to her husband, William, Edna was predeceased by a son, Arlan W. Conrad, on August 11, 2015; sisters, Verna M. (Weidner) Schlegel; Mary A. (Weidner) Dries; Mamie M (Weidner) Biehler; Elda (Weidner) Moatz; brothers, Ellis J. and Clarence Weidner.

At Edna's request, services will be private at the convenience of the family.  There are no public calling hours.
