Obituary for HAROLD ELTON BRIGHTMAN
Harold Brightman, 93, passed away on December 17, 2017, in Marshalltown, Iowa. He was born October 24, 1924, in Des Moines to Harold R. and Lucia Brightman.
Harold served in the Navy as an Electrician’s Mate 2nd Class and taught for the Des Moines Public Schools for 30 years.
Harold is survived by his wife of 73 years, Evelyn; daughter, Linda Brightman; and granddaughters, Ashley Brightman and Makenzie Phippen; as well as 6 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sons, Harold A. Brightman and Mark Allyn Brightman.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 27, 2017, at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 1409 S. 8th Avenue E. in Newton, IA.
