Obituary for Dolores K. Orensky

Dolores Katherine (Cummings), 82, long-time resident of Sharon Hill before moving to Ocean City in 1999, Somers Point in 2000. Born 1/20/1936 in Philadelphia. Graduated from Frankford High School. Dolores’ career included working at Chilton Book Publishing Co, Rosati Water Ice and University of Sciences in Philadelphia.

Dolores was an avid member of Somers Point-Linwood Red Hat Society and also the Somers Point Senior Citizens Center.

Survived by 4 Children: Daniel, Herbert Jr. (Jill), Joanne Kelly, Carol Pace (Rocco Sr.). 9 Grandchildren: Matt (Nancy), Jamie Fisher (Jack), Kyle (Abby), Jack Kelly, Juneann Baker (Mike), Kevin (Shana), Rocco Jr.(Melissa), Joe, Theresa Sladek (Rob) 7 Great-Grandchildren with two due soon: Kayla, Mikey, Haley, Rocco III, Ava, Sammy, Cora. Predeceased by: Husband: (Herbie) Herbert M Orensky Sr, Mother: Katherine (Herbert) Cummings, Father: Richard Cummings Sr., Brother: Richard Cummings Jr., Sister: Anne Cummings.

Dolores was a loving, devoted stay at home mom while she raised her children before embarking on her working career. Dolores was an intelligent, caring, honest, beautiful, loving, mother, grandmother & great-grandmother for which holidays meant the world to her where the whole family would always be together. Lifelong friends to many. Dolores enjoyed classic movies, especially mysteries (Agatha Christie, Sherlock Holmes), reading books, jigsaw puzzles and crossword puzzles. The family would like to thank Dr. Dordaneh Maleki, as well as the nurses & doctors at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, Mainland Campus, with a special heartfelt thank you to PCCU RN Katie S (on the 4th Floor) who treated Dolores with respect and care.
