Obituary for Arthur A. Verno Sr.

Arthur A. Verno, Sr., 82, of Scranton, PA, died March 30, 2018 at Allied Service Hospice Center.

Born and raised in Philadelphia, he had been a longtime resident of Drexel Hill and Kennett Square before moving to Scranton in 2006. Mr. Verno had been employed as a baker in Drexel Hill and South Philadelphia before retiring in 2004. He enjoyed cooking and baking, was an avid Eagles and Phillies fan, but will best be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather. 

Survivors: include his wife of 60 years, Jeanne (nee Gibbons) Verno; children, Karen F. Verno, Arthur A. Verno; Jr. and granddaughter, Emily Verno

Service: Funeral Service will be 11:00AM, Thursday, April 5, 2018, at Toppitzer Funeral Home at Arlington

Interment: SS Peter and Paul Cemetery, Marple, PA 19064
