Obituary for Phyllis Cummings Moulden

Phyllis Cummings Moulden born in Derby on December 18, 1927, daughter of the late Harold and Mabelle Cummings, died February 4, 2009. She leaves her husband Kenneth of Woodbridge, son Stuart of Milford and two cousins. She graduated from Ansonia High School, class of 1945, as well as graduating with a Bachelor's degree from the University of Bridgeport, class of 1949. She earned her Master's degree from Southern State Teacher's College. Phyllis taught third grade in the Ansonia Public Schools for 30 years and participated in many civic activities including being presidents of Ansonia Teachers League (1963-1964), former member of Board of Directors and secretary for Wepawaug Teachers Credit Union; president of Ansonia Board of Welfare, member of Women's auxiliary of Griffin Hospital, member of Woodbridge Republican Town Committee and Ansonia Republican Town Committee and a member of Christ Episcopal Church, Ansonia. Jenkins-King Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Ansonia
