John Wesley Jefferies, was born on August 3, 1936 to Lemmon and Mary Jeffries.
John retired from Western Union and later from Summacare Hospital. John was well known around town, he knew no strangers and was "related" to everyone.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Elizabeth Jefferies; brothers, Lemmon, Luther and Willie; sisters, Mary, Lela and Mariah. John is survived by his children, Rhonda, Robert, Robin, and Regina; ten grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and numerous relatives and friends
