Obituary for Martin M. Nolt

Martin M. Nolt, 85, of Ephrata, formerly of Kutztown, entered into rest on Friday, January 26, 2018 at Lincoln Christian Home, Ephrata. He was the widower of Lizzie M. (Horning) Nolt, who died on October 27, 2011. Born in New Holland, Lancaster County, Mr. Nolt was a son of the late Eli O. and Mattie M. (Martin) Nolt. He owned and operated Nolt's Office Furniture, Ephrata, where he sold and repaired office furniture for many years. 

He is survived by his children, Elaine H. (Nolt), wife of Menno Miller, Grayson, KY, Lois H. (Nolt), wife of Dennis H. Martin, Unionville, MO, Clifford H., husband of Carolyn H. (Weaver) Nolt, Kutztown, Linda H. (Nolt) wife of Vernon W. Hoover, Patriot, OH and Aletha H. (Nolt) wife of Earl Z. Sadler, Kansas, OH; son-in-law, Leon H. Leinbach, widower of predeceased daughter,  Nancy H. (Nolt) Leinbach, Kempton; 38 Grandchildren and 51 Great-Grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings, Ivan M. Nolt, Ephrata, David M. Nolt, Ephrata, Allen M. Nolt, New Holland, Elizabeth (Nolt), wife of Moses Good, Manheim and Martha (Nolt), wife of Samuel Martin, Gordonville. He was predeceased by his wife, parents, daughter, one grandson, Andrew C. Nolt, two great-grandchildren, three brothers, Irvin Nolt, Titus Nolt, Eli Nolt and John Nolt, and a sister, Ella Nolt.

A viewing will be held on Monday, January 29, 2018 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and again from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in Lincoln Christian Home, 1307 Apple Street, Ephrata, PA. A funeral service for Martin will be held on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at 9:30 a.m. in Jacobs Church, 8373 Kings Hwy, New Tripoli, PA. The officiating Ministry will be Daniel Halteman, Daniel Stauffer, Jerry Martin and Ethan Petre, and Pall bears will be Menno Miller, Dennis Martin, Clifford Nolt, Leon Leinbach, Vernon Hoover and Earl Sadler. Burial will follow the funeral service in Blue Mountain Mennonite Fellowship Cemetery, 5469 Owl Valley Road, New Tripoli.
