Obituary for Dolores A. Stacy

Dolores (nee Sowinski ) Stacy, 76, of Philadelphia, PA, died January 11, 2018 at Rosemont Care and Rehab Center.

Born and raised in the Port Richmond section of Philadelphia, she had been a resident of Broomall for the past 8 years. A graduate of Kensington High School and Episcopal Hospital School of Nursing she had been employed as an LPN.  Dolores enjoyed good food and drink; she left 35 years of nursing to attend the Restaurant School at Walnut Hill College.

She worked as a chef for Feast your Eyes Catering for 3 years. A collector of cookbooks, kitchen gadgets and playful chef figurines, she also enjoyed reading, and travel. Her favorite time was spent at family and friends gatherings, she was never shy about expressing her views, just add a dash of controversy and was known as a real pistol.

Wife of the late Robert Capone, mother of the late Rob Capone, Survivors: include her daughter, Debra Capone-Mayer (her husband Thomas Mayer), Daughter-in-law, Anne Capone, Grandsons, Thomas Mayer, Bobby Capone, her fiancé, Dave Witman and 2 great-grandchildren.

Service: Funeral Service will be 1 pm Friday, January 19, 2018, at the Toppitzer Funeral Home at Arlington. 2900 State Rd., Drexel Hill Pa 19026

Visitation: 12 noon Friday, January 19, 2018

Contributions: in her memory to  St Jude Children's Hospital   501 St. Jude Place; Memphis Tn  38105, would be preferred would be preferred
