Obituary for Carl Anthony Masi

Carl A. Masi, 56, of Glenolden, PA, died December 29, 2017 at home. Born and raised in Drexel Hill, he was a graduate of Upper Darby High School, class of '79.

Carl was an avid collector of stamps, sports cards and coins. He was an accomplished athlete and played ice hockey for the Haverford Hawks at the Blue Line and Radnor Rinks. As center he was an exceptional scorer. Due to asthma he had limited playing time but would enter the game whenever a goal was needed. In one game he scored 6 goals. He wanted to be remembered as the greatest hockey player, overlooked.

Survivors: include his son, Patrick Ryan Masi and his parents Carl and Rose Theresa Masi.

Service: Funeral Service will be Friday, January 5, 2018, 12:45 pm at Toppitzer Funeral Home at Arlington, 2900 State Rd., Drexel Hill

Interment: Arlington Cemetery, Drexel Hill, PA 19026
